Online Classes

Bay Math Academy is excited to offer online classes for Algebra 1 and Math 6 Accelerated (pre-algebra) during the school year. These classes are designed to support students during their normal classes by reinforcing key math concepts and ensuring they fully understand the material.

Who

Our online math classes are intended for middle school students who will be taking Algebra 1 or Math 6 Accelerated in the fall at their middle school. However, anyone can join.

Our classes will be taught by our team of passionate high school volunteers.

When

Both the Algebra 1 and Math 6 Accelerated classes are one hour long and held once a week for eight weeks.

The Algebra 1 course will be held every Wednesday from 8–9 PM starting August 7.

The Math 6 Accelerated course will be every Sunday from 7–8 PM starting August 11.

Where

The program will be hosted online through Google Meet, so please make sure your device and browser are compatible with Google Meet, as Google Meet runs in your browser (unless you’re using a mobile device).

Once you sign up, you will receive a Google Meet link, which you can use to join the online class session each week.

What

During each online class, students will learn about topics and skills aligned with their math course (Algebra 1 or Math 6 Accelerated). In doing so, students can ensure that they have a solid understanding of concepts that they have already learned or get a head start on upcoming material in their courses.

Why Join

Many middle schoolers find their math courses challenging. They may struggle with the transition from elementary school math to Math 6 Accelerated or with the rigorous content of Algebra 1.

Our online classes seek to support students by reinforcing key math concepts and ensuring they fully understand the material. By explaining concepts in different ways, students can come to form a deep understanding of the content that will last them the rest of their math careers.
